Setsu Kuroda
Setsu Kuroda (Photo Attached) was born and raised in a pastors family in Kishiwada, Osaka, She confessed faith in Jesus at the age of 10 and wanted to devote herself to serve the Lord, but until she graduated from college, her actions did not reflect her faith. From the time she was 15 years old and her family moved to Hawaii, Setsu has lived in the U.S She was involved in evangelizing international students as a high school student and went on to study at Fuller Seminary rededicated herself to the Lord during Urbana E0 and was led to JCFN where shehas been a full-time staff worker since 1994. |

Yuko Ozeki
Yuko Shimobe came to know about Jesus Christ at the church she attended with her mother from the time she was in elementary school.After having experienced some of the joy and the hardships of Christian life in Japan during junior high, high school, college and working in an office, she arrived in bitterly cold Chicago on Christmas day 1996 to study at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. She came to realize the importance of evangelizing Japanese and equipping them for their return to Japan.In the spring of 1999, the Lord called Yuko to become a full-time JCFN staff worker and she has been working hard since November, 2000. |

Maki Goto
Maki Goto was born in Hashima-shi, Gifu in 1970 as the second son and sixth child in a pastors family.As a child, he did not understand the true meaning of the gospel, but at the age of 15 he came to accept Jesus as his Savior and was baptized.Visiting his sister in the States at age 19 motivated him to study in the U.S.He realized this dream when he was 21 as a student of a junior college in Southern California.Later, he went to a Bible college where he began to care about Japanese returnees and was led to work for JCFN.In October, 2002, Maki was blessed by his marriage to Mitsuyo, and their first son, Meru, was born in August 2003.Currently, he is living in San Diego, working as a director of the West Coast area. They will be returning to Japan in the spring of 2004 to work in the Japan office while continuing a time of deputation. |

Shinichi Kayama
Shinichi Kayama participated in the JCFN summer conference held in Honolulu in 1995 where he came to learn about JCFN ministry for the first time.He was one of the executive committee members for the Returnee Conference Tokyo in 1999 and helping to prepare for the Conference led him to become involved in the JCFN ministry in Japan.Shin has been installed as a staff worker of JCFN since April 2006 while he is studying at seminary.

Yoko Funatsu
Yoko Funatsu started to going to a church in Japan for learning English conversation,when she was in high school. Several years later,she accepted Jesus as her personal savior in June 2000. Around the same time, she became to know JCFN through a returnee Christian friend she met at the church. In the summer of 2004, she confirmed God's call through Ephesians 2:10 for becoming a full-time JCFN staff worker. She has started her deputation late July 2005, and was installed on July 1, 2006.

Eriya Takahashi
Eriya Takahashi (Photo Attached) was born as the second son of a pastor and was baptized at age 15.After completing his M.A. at AoyamaGakuinUniversity, he went to study at Ashland Theological Seminary in the U.S.His faith in Christ was renewed during this time.In 1996, just before returning to Japan, he was given the vision to serve Japan while attending the Urbana Conference.It was then that he met JCFN staff and began participating in JCFN ministry which he still continues to do.He is serving at Christs Fukuin Hanna Church as an assistant pastor while teaching accounting at FukuyamaUniversity. ?

Chihiro Nakamura
Chihiro Nakamura was born in Chiba, and grew up in Tokyo.Since
the age of five, she grew up where church was her second home.At
the age of twelve, she met Christ personally and confessed
her faith.She studied Christian counseling at college.In 2002,
she went to the United States to continue her studies at Fuller
Theological Seminary in California.However, only two months
later, while still in ESL program, God called her to become
a pastor in Japan through the book of Jeremiah.While she was
at Fuller, through her internship at JCFN, she saw God using
her gift and training. She found His calling through JCFN
at this point.She completed the degree of Mater of Divinity
at Fuller Theological Seminary in June, 2006.As Christs disciple,
Chihiro found joy in discipleship training to equip Christs
disciples. She was officially installed as a full-time JCFN staff member
in April 2007.

US Staff
Fumiko Asano
One of Fumiko's friends invited her to a church when she was a college student in Seattle. She got baptized at FaithBibleChurch in December 1990. She thought she wanted to work at a local church but never told anyone; however, God was listening. In January 1993 when her senior pastor called and asked her to work at church, she never hesitate to say yes. From the next day, she started to serve Him as a staff at Machida Christian Center (MCC) and worked there for over 12 years. She went to study at Covenant Seminary in 1993, and graduated in 1998. God stopped her quest at MCC in March 2005, later she became a minister-at-large. Just after her resignation, she began to pray about becoming JCFN staff. In July 2006 she was accepted as an US staff by JCFN Board. |
